Portfolio-wide brand strategy audits with a 12-part marketing engagement flow
Discovered from README cross-links · 2 days ago
Run the same auditable 61-step strategy flow across every client brand.
What they did
A marketing agency inherits a 50-brand client from a previous agency with no playbook. Three brands are overspending, two have stale positioning, and one launches in a regulated jurisdiction next month. Instead of improvising per brand, the team installs the digital-marketing-pro plugin and runs /digital-marketing-pro:engagement against each brand in turn. Every brand goes through the same 12-Part Strategy Flow and the same 61-step structure, producing the Four Core Documents (brand profile, growth plan, yearly planner, and supporting analyses). Part 5 is the single client validation stop; after that the flow fans out to channel plans, execution, AI creative briefs, and an improvement loop that feeds the next cycle. The team also uses the pre-publish gate to score claims, brand voice, and compliance before anything reaches the client, and the compliance rules context to cover the regulated jurisdiction. Because the structure is identical across brands, the agency can audit the whole portfolio side by side and spot which brands are bleeding budget versus which just need repositioning.
How it went
The agency gets a consistent, auditable engagement per brand instead of uneven depth, with roughly an hour per brand on a top-tier model. The pre-publish gate and EU AI Act Article 50 compliance context reduce review surprises, and the shared structure makes handoffs and portfolio comparisons straightforward. Output quality still depends on the model and plan used, and the flow is a methodology scaffold rather than a guarantee of strategy quality.
Worth knowing
Requires a supported harness (Claude Code 2.1.292+, Cowork, Codex, Cursor 2.5+, Copilot CLI, Antigravity, or an Agent Skills platform) and a capable model; weaker models will produce shallower documents. The plugin supplies structure and compliance context, not proprietary client data, so brand inputs still need to be gathered. Time estimates are model- and plan-dependent, and regulated-jurisdiction coverage should be verified against current rules rather than assumed.
Wiring
Install via `claude plugin install digital-marketing-pro --marketplace indranilbanerjee/neels-plugins` (or add the marketplace then install inside a session). The plugin registers skills and specialist agents that the harness routes to from plain-language requests. Order of operations: create the brand profile first, since every skill reads it for voice, audience, and compliance; then run the 12-part engagement, which pauses at Part 5 for client validation; then fan out to channel plans and execution; then run the pre-publish gate before deliverables go out. Compliance rules live in the context-engine skill and are consulted during the engagement and the gate.
Try it yourself
Install the digital-marketing-pro plugin, then set up a brand profile for each of our client brands (voice, audience, compliance jurisdiction). Run /digital-marketing-pro:engagement for the three brands flagged as overspending and the two with stale positioning, producing the Four Core Documents for each. Then run the pre-publish gate on the resulting growth plans and summarize, in one table, where each brand's budget, positioning, and compliance gaps are.
