Agent-written HTML launch page and social cards for a product release

Turned a markdown changelog into a polished HTML launch page plus share cards.

What they did

They started from a plain markdown changelog and a rough product brief sitting in the repo. Instead of hand-editing a doc, they pointed html-anything at the repo and let it detect the already-logged-in coding-agent CLI on their PATH (no API key needed). They picked a magazine-article surface for the long-form launch page and a tweet-card surface for the social teasers, then let the agent compose HTML directly from the markdown source. They iterated on the layout by asking the agent for changes in natural language — tightening the hero, swapping the accent color, and reflowing the feature grid — rather than touching CSS by hand. Finally they exported the page as .html for hosting and the cards as .png for posting, and used the one-click export path for the social channels they cared about.

How it went

They ended up with a presentable launch page and a set of share images in a single working session, with no design tooling and no manual CSS. The output looked like a designed page rather than a rendered markdown file, and the .png exports were usable as-is for social posts. Polish was good enough to ship internally and close to public-ready after a couple of copy passes.

Worth knowing

Quality depends heavily on which coding-agent CLI is installed and logged in, and on the skill template chosen — results vary across the 75 templates. The tool is local-first, so nothing is hosted for you; you still need somewhere to publish the .html. Very brand-specific design systems may need extra prompting, and exported images should be spot-checked for font rendering before posting.

Wiring

Install html-anything locally and make sure at least one supported coding-agent CLI (Claude Code, Cursor Agent, Codex, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot CLI, OpenCode, Qwen Coder, Aider, or IBM Bob) is on PATH and already authenticated — html-anything reuses that session, so no API key is configured. Open the editor against the repo, choose a deliverable surface (magazine article, tweet card, résumé, etc.) from the skill picker, and point it at the markdown source files. The agent writes HTML into the project; iterate via natural-language prompts. Export via the built-in targets (WeChat / X / Zhihu) or download .html / .png.

Try it yourself

Look at the markdown files in this repo (start with CHANGELOG.md and any docs/ briefs). Using html-anything, generate: (1) a magazine-style HTML launch page summarizing the latest release, with a hero, feature grid, and pull quotes; (2) a set of tweet-card HTML snippets for the top three features; (3) a one-page spec sheet in résumé layout. Keep copy faithful to the source markdown, use a restrained two-color palette, and make everything responsive. Then export the launch page as .html and the cards as .png, and list the files you produced.
